40th Reunion, Oct. 2004

Richard A. Champion

Richard Champion, Jr.: Rick wanted to become a scientist in high school. His occupation is that of a mathematician instead, working for the U.S. Geological Survey and KUSF Radio Station of the University of San Francisco.

He enjoys traveling, photography, and has a special interest in learning other languages, understanding several. The most important thing with his language skills is that he can order food and drink in at least 5 different languages. Rick has two godchildren.

His class message: “Be thankful for Upland and its high school.”

2022 Update:

My wife Natalie and I publish an online magazine called Natalie’s Zine which we describe as a San Francisco Home for writers and artists. Natalie and I both create writing as well as images and drawings. We encourage friends and family to contribute. Some of our stories have been inspired growing up in Upland.
